Understanding Skip Sizes

Choosing the right size is crucial, hiring a skip that’s too small may lead to overflow and extra charges, while renting one that’s too large can be a waste of money.

Skip Permits

If you plan to place your skip on a public road or pavement, you’ll need a skip permit issued by your local council. The permit ensures that your skip meets safety regulations and doesn’t obstruct traffic or pedestrians. It’s crucial to apply for a permit before arranging for your skip hire as you will need this in place prior to delivery. A skip hire permit will usually take between 3 and 7 days to be granted but can take up to two weeks.

The cost and application process for a skip permit vary depending on your local council, so it’s advisable to check specific requirements in your area. However here at Network Skips we are able to take care of the whole skip permit process for a fee off £150.00 +VAT which includes the cost of your permit and our administration fee saving you the hassle.
